Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

"COOKIE is a super sweet, petite, short-haired black girl who just wants a home to call her own. She was a dumped stray and lived outside for a couple of years. Several people in the neighborhood found her very cute and took care of her. She had to be brought inside when a cat-hating neighbor complained. I would have taken her in long before but she does not like other cats and I already had three. She has been completely indoors for nearly two years now and, except for my other cats, loves it.

She is very affectionate and loves to give and get rubs and cuddles but does not like to be picked up. (Although you can quickly pick her up to put her in a carrier.) She is not yet a lap cat, but I think she  quickly would be if she lived without other cats and where she feels more comfortable. She likes to sleep on your feet or lie beside you, touching you. She does well with all adults, but small children are probably not a good idea. She does not like other cats or dogs. She really wants to be an only child!

She is not a picky eater and has impeccable litter box manners—nearly two years inside with NO accidents AND everything neatly buried. She is very playful and loves her toys, especially her furry mice, and keeps herself entertained for hours. She also loves to try just a bite of whatever it is I happen to be eating!

She weighs about 9 pounds. She is spayed and current on all her shots and is micro-chipped. While she lived outside for a few years, she is very happy being inside and should remain an indoor only cat now. She would really like a home and human (or two) to call her own and have all to herself. She has a lot of love and affection to give and likes to show it.
